Domestic Relations

Elaine M. Landis is a trial lawyer serving clients in Warren County, and surrounding areas of Ohio.

With twenty plus years of experience, Landis focuses on helping clients with litigation, providing clear guidance and practical legal solutions involving domestic relations matters, juvenile matters, and criminal matters.

Before joining Smith & Webb, she gained experience clerking for Judge Dankof, the Federal Public Defender, and the Law Director for the City of Kettering.  Further,  she worked as an associate at the Kohn Law Firm, S.C. and at the Law Offices of Ira H. Thomsen.  Immediately before joining Smith & Webb, Landis worked as an Unlimited Contracting Officer for the United States Air Force and assisted with drafting and negotiating international contracts for fighter jets.

Clients often choose Landis for her responsiveness, clear communication, and personal guidance on navigating complex legal situations.  Most people seeking a lawyer are coming in for something that is unpleasant, and she will guide them through the process as delicately as possible.

Outside of the office, Landis enjoys spending time with her two children, especially when they can sneak away to a beach for vacation.  She enjoys kayaking, biking, hiking, swimming, and a good movie.

Education

Landis earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Dayton School of Law and is licensed to practice law in Ohio, Wisconsin, and the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Ohio.
